Default Exabytes Forums Rules

ExaBytes provides these Forums as a service to its subscribers, to provide a friendly, positive environment, where users can help each other and exchange ideas, tips, information, and techniques related to server hosting. Like any community, these Forums are most valuable when everyone obeys certain basic guidelines and rules for online behavior. These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected of you and what you can expect from others. Please help keep the ExaBytes Forums a clean and friendly community.

Rule 1: We are all Here to Help
The purpose of these forums is to enable the members of the ExaBytes community help each other in a constructive and positive atmosphere. If you are new to the forums and are unsure about anything, just ask! If you are an old hand and see new participants joining the forums, please welcome them and feel free to help them find their way! Please be reminded that this forum does not serve as an official support request to Exabytes. Please direct all support request via our support portal available at https://support.exabytes.com

Rule 2: Be Friendly and Courteous
While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning. Our decision is final in these matters. Everyone wants to have a positive experience while on the Forums - please make sure that you contribute to it. Please do not post anything harassing, threatening, abusive, lewd, or inflammatory. Flaming people, products, or organizations is never acceptable. Neither is trolling. Instead, be friendly, helpful, and supportive.

Rule 3: Be Relevant
Please stay on topic and refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts. These Forums are provided to enable members to help each other in sharing their passion for hosting. Please refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, from posting in a manner unrelated to the direct purposes expected in the Forums. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

Rule 4: Be Legal
Please do not post anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, or that infringes upon any intellectual property rights. Do not conduct any activity that may be illegal, or harmful in any way, to people, to software or hardware, such as hacking, flooding scripts, viruses or Trojan horses. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

Rule 5: No Spam
Advertising, spamming, trolling and flaming is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and private message system to spam other community forum members. Please do not use the forums in any way to promote third party services, products, websites, or organizations.

Rule 6: No Soliciting
Do not use the forums to ask for services/products or to offer your services/products to others, unless otherwise stated in specific forums.

Rule 7: Signatures
A) May include up to 2 URLs
B) URLs may not link to other threads or posts
B) May not contain images
D) May not advertise prices or services
E) May not be sold or rented out
F) May be no longer than 3 lines
G) The final decision on whether a signature is acceptable or not is at the sole discretion of forum administrators and moderators.
H) For text signatures: 4 lines and up to 90 chars per line (includes blank lines). Font sizes above 2 are not allowed.

Rule 8: Enforcement
Your participation in the Forums is subject to modification, deletion, access limitation or ban, by moderators, at their sole discretion, without notice or appeal. ExaBytes retains the right, at its sole discretion, to edit content and limit users' access that it considers inappropriate. ExaBytes is not responsible for any failure or delay in taking such actions. We reserve the right to remove any threads/posts without notice. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the community forum rules.

Rule 9: Limitation of Liability
You understand that members like you contribute the content of these Forums, that ExaBytes does not control and is not responsible for it, and that ExaBytes does not in any way guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, legality or completeness of any such content.
You expressly agree that you bear all the risks associated with such content and that ExaBytes is not liable in any way for such content, for its errors and omissions, and for any losses and damage incurred as a result of accessing or using such content.

Rule 10: Ownership of Account
Each community forum member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

Rule 11: Advertising Services
We do not allow community forum members to send private messages or email other community forum members that advertise or solicit any product(s) and/or service(s). Explicit advertising and soliciting in signatures is also prohibited. You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be deleted. You may only post your products and services in "Marketplace Forum" under relevant categories. However advertisements which cause conflict with Exabytes product and services are prohibited.

Rule 12: Avatars and Profile Pictures
We also do not allow avatars and profile pictures that are sexual in nature or violate Exabytes community standards.

While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure the community is not disrupted or abused in any way.


MARKETPLACE FORUM RULES

What is the “Exabytes' Clients Marketplace” forum for?
This forum is intended for Exabytes clients to publish offers of their products and services.

Posting Rules
1. You are limited to posting one advertisement per 14 days.
2. Your advertisement MUST NOT cause conflict of interest with Exabytes Product and Services, otherwise your ad will be removed without notice.
3. Keep your posts clean. Only three colors, including black in normal text size only (no [size] tags) and two font styles are allowed.
4. Any offer posted must contain a URL to the provider's website.
5. Make sure you post your products and services into appropriate category otherwise your thread may be removed.
6. Negative comments on advertisement are not allowed. For example, if you think the price is too high or the design isn’t good, leave the ad for other people to form their own opinions.
7. Anyone found to be intentionally "trashing" or "trolling" (post controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages) in another user's advertisement thread will be suspended.
8. Any offer that attempts to defraud or deceive our members will result in your account being suspended without notice.
9. Exabytes merely provides an advertising platform here and does not responsible and provide any guarantee on the transaction/deal between sellers and buyers.
